Cavities are common dental problems that can be easily prevented, which most people don’t know. There are four things you can do on a regular basis to improve your oral health and prevent dental cavities. Those four things are:

· Keep up on oral hygiene: Oral hygiene is extremely important. So, please do your best to brush your teeth twice a day, floss your smile once a day, and rinse your mouth daily with mouthwash. These techniques will help you properly clean your smile and eliminate the harmful particles that create tooth decay.
· Have a balanced diet: Eating healthy foods and snacks will keep your chompers in tip-top shape. So, do your best to eat balanced meals as well as incorporate as many fruits and veggies into your diet as possible.
· Use fluoride: Fluoride is the best mineral for your oral health. It nourishes and strengthens your smile and gives it the ability to fight off tooth decay. However, most people don’t get enough fluoride each day. So, it’s important that you take advantage of our professional fluoride treatment when you come into our office as well as use fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash each day at home.
· Visit your dentist: Your dentist and dental team are the only ones who can help you completely prevent tooth decay as well as gum disease, which is why it is so important to visit your dentist every six months for a dental cleaning and exam. During these appointments, your smile will be deeply cleaned, the plaque on your teeth will be removed, and any dental problem will be fixed.
