Root Canal Treatment
With root canal treatment, we can save a tooth that might otherwise need extraction. We recommend this treatment for a tooth that has suffered a deep cavity which has penetrated to the soft inner tissue or one that has an infection deep inside.
A root canal consists of opening the tooth and cleaning out the infection, nerve and blood vessels. Sterile, medicated material then fills the space and the tooth is closed up again. We recommend placing a crown over this tooth to strengthen it after this procedure is done.
